S. Arabia Neutralizes Ballistic Missile
A Defense Ministry spokesperson reported that debris from the intercepted missile fell near Prince Sultan Air Base, though no damage was caused.
The ministry added that since early Wednesday, Saudi air defenses have intercepted and eliminated a ballistic missile along with 15 drones targeting the kingdom’s territory.
Reports indicate that regional tensions have intensified following joint US-Israeli operations against Iran, which began on February 28 and have reportedly killed around 1,300 people, including prominent figures. In response, Iran has carried out drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military forces, leading to casualties, damage to infrastructure, and disruptions to global markets and air travel.
Among Gulf countries, the United Arab Emirates has faced the highest number of attacks, followed by Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Oman, which previously participated in nuclear negotiations between Washington and Tehran, has recorded the fewest incidents.
