Iran attacks US military bases in Qatar, Iraq
Unconfirmed videos circulating online show multiple missiles flying over Qatar, triggering the activation of anti-aircraft defenses and the launch of interceptor missiles.
The primary target was Al Udeid Air Base, a large military complex southwest of Doha used by Qatari, US, and UK forces. It remains unclear whether all missiles hit their intended targets.
The Qatari military stated that it successfully intercepted all incoming Iranian missiles, with no casualties reported on the ground. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry condemned the strikes as a “flagrant violation” of its sovereignty and affirmed that Doha reserves the right to respond.
Contrasting reports from Iranian media claim that at least three missiles penetrated Qatar’s air defenses and struck the base, with some outlets suggesting as many as six projectiles reached their target.
Iranian sources released footage purportedly showing missile launches from mobile platforms at undisclosed locations.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the attack on Al Udeid, labeling the base “the largest strategic asset of the US terrorist army in the West Asia region.” The IRGC vowed that Tehran “will not leave any attack on its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national security unanswered under any circumstances.”
According to reports cited by a news agency, Iran warned Qatar in advance of the missile strikes to minimize casualties and collateral damage. The sources indicated the strikes were largely symbolic—aimed at demonstrating retaliation for US attacks while maintaining room for possible de-escalation.
